Conformity with the Machinery Regulation EU 2023/1230
The European Machinery Regulation was published on June 14, 2023, and will replace the current Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC as of January 20, 2027. From that date onward, the CE marking of machinery or the assessment of partly completed machinery will only be possible in accordance with the Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230. The Machinery Regulation provides for a transition period of 42 months. All machinery placed on the market or put into service before January 20, 2027, must continue to be CE marked in accordance with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
Manufacturers of industrial machinery should prepare for the new requirements well in advance. Use the transition period to adapt your machinery to the Machinery Regulation EU 2023/1230.
